In 2011 she debuted in the film of Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar and acted alongside Ranbir Kaoor. Mona Ghosh Shetty was hired to voice-over her character because of her inability to speak Hindi. Nargis Fakhri was born on October 20, 1979 on the 20th of October 1979 in Queens, New York City, United States to Mohammed Fakhri and Marie Fakhri. She is the younger sibling of Aliya Fakhri. Her father, Mohammed Fakhri is a Pakistani and her mother Marie Fakhri is a Czech. As a young girl, she was seven years old, her parents divorced. Her father passed away a few short years later. Marie Fakhri, her mother was a retired police officer. Nargis considers herself an American citizen due to the fact that she's of mixed ethnicity, including Pakistani/Czech and American nationality. Fakhri started her modeling career when she was just 16. She was living with her boyfriend and her boyfriend in Copenhagen when she got an email informing her that Imtiaz Ali had asked to meet her in Prague to play a part in an Indian film. Nargis Fakhri began dating actor Uday Chopra in 2014. The couple broke up in the year 2017. In May of 2018, she wrote on her Instagram profile she was in a relationship with American filmmaker and director Matt Alonzo. They parted ways in the year. The couple is currently in a relationship with American chef Justin Santos. Nargis ranked 72nd in Forbes' list of indian stars in 2014.
